Newlyweds: The First Year is an American reality documentary television series that is currently airing on the Bravo network. The reality series is executive produced by Lauren Lazin (Extreme Guide to Parenting), David Granger (Made in Chelsea: NYC) and Will Macdonald (Summer Daze with Blackberry). Season 1 of Newlyweds: The First Year premiered on Bravo on May 6, 2013.

Newlyweds: The First Year is the reality and docu-series that explores the ups and downs of marriage as diverse couples from across the country experience the trials and tribulations of their first year of marriage. From the moment they say 'I do' on the wedding days to their one-year anniversary and everything in between, the cameras capture the significant milestones, difficult adjustments and everyday life of the twelve newlyweds to see whether or not they can survive what proves to be the most difficult year of marriage. None of the couples ever meet but viewers see the commonalities between their married lives.

On October 7, 2013, Newlyweds: The First Year was officially renewed by Bravo for a second season. In April of 2014, Bravo officially announced a renewal for a third season with a plan to air both seasons back to back in late 2014 and 2015. However, after that, Bravo has altered its plans a little bit and pushed the premiere date. Season 2 of Newlyweds: The First Year was released on the Bravo network on March 10, 2015 and the number of its episodes was increased from eight to ten.

UPDATED December 2, 2015: The Bravo network has just officially announced the renewal of the real life and documentary series about marriage and romance for a third season, and while at it has also revealed the premiere date of Newlyweds: The First Year season 3. The popular reality series will return to Bravo with a special 90-minute premiere episode on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT and starting with its second episode the show will move to its regular time slot on Wednesdays at 10pm. Four new couples will be featured in the upcoming chapter of the docu-series as they let viewers into the most delicate, vulnerable and intimate aspects of their new lives together as married couples. Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge is an American reality television competition show that airs on the Country Music Television channel. The reality show was created by Steve Austin, a retired professional wrestler (better known by his ring name "Stone Cold" Steve Austin) who has been hailed as the biggest star in World Wrestling Federation (WWF)/WWE history. Steve Austin also hosts the show and serves as an executive producer along with Christian Sarabia (Marrying the Game), Rabih Gholam (Redneck Island), Jack Heller (Hunt to Kill) and Vince Cariati (Minute to Win It). Mozart in the Jungle is based on oboist Blair Tindall's 2005 memoir of the same name which revolves around the world of high-profile orchestras in New York City. The series was created by Amazon Studios. The executive producers are Roman Coppola (Moonrise Kingdom, The Darjeeling Limited), Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, I Heart Huckabees), who also appears in two episodes, and Paul Weitz (Cracking Up).Lola Kirke stars as Hailey Rutledge, a twenty-something oboist with big dreams who develops a friendship with a veteran musician Cynthia Taylor (portrayed by Saffron Burrows). As the storyline develops, we watch Hailey navigating the whims of the charming, eccentric new conductor Rodrigo De Souza (portrayed by Gael Garcia Bernal). As Hailey tries to find herself she finds it difficult to adapt to Rodrigo's brash and temperamental personality. Along the way, the series also depicts stories about leading a life as a struggling musician in the big city and the politics that come as a price of making it big.

Pilot episode premiered on February 6, 2014. The production order was given in March of 2014 and season 1 of Mozart in the Jungle premiered in full on Amazon Instant Video on December 23, 2014. The first season received high praise and excellent reviews from both the audiences and critics. There have been no official announcements yet about the fate of season 2 of Mozart in the Jungle.

Galavant is a new American musical comedy fairy-tale television series that airs on the ABC channel. The series was created, written, and executive produced by Dan Fogelman (The Neighbors, Like Family). Other executive producers of Galavant include Alan Menken (Alladin, Beauty and the Beast) and Glenn Slater (Tangled, Love Never Dies) who also both serve as songwriters and composers for the series. Chris Koch (The Neighbors, Snow Day) is another executive producer who also serves as a director. Kat Likkel and John Hoberg both serve as executive producers and the writers for the show.

The pilot episode of Galavant premiered on ABC on January 4, 2014. Season 1 of Galavant will contain a total of 8 episodes, with the final episode scheduled to air on January 25, 2015.

The storyline of Galavant revolves around the adventures of Galavant. He is a handsome hero who is after the evil King Richard. The latter ruined the life of the main character when he stole the love of his life, Madalena. All musical numbers on the show are written and composed by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater who previously already worked together on the 2010 animated film Tangled.

UPDATED November 18, 2015: The ABC network has just revealed the release schedule for its new and returning shows for the first quarter of 2016. A second season of the musical comedy show Galavant is scheduled to premiere on ABC in the US on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT. In its debut season, the fairy-tale themed show has garnered very good reviews and averaged almost 5 million viewers per episode, which is a very solid result for Sunday night broadcast. Throughout its first season, Galavant did not deliver big ratings for ABC: although it did premiere to 7.4 million viewers, when the season 1 finale came around, the series dropped to just 4.3 million, leaving many critics to assume it would get canceled. Everyone who knows about this surviving ancient Anglo-Saxon epic poem and wants to see a new series based on its storyline is wondering when the new historic series produced by the ITV channel will hit the small screen.

In early April of 2015 the TV channel ITV will begin production work on their new series Beowulf Season 1. The producers are planning to film 13 one-hour episodes for season 1 of Beowulf. The script for the TV series was created by a renowned show runner James Dormer who had previously created such series as The Musketeers and Strike Back. The filming of Beowulf will take place in England in Durham County and in Northumberland.Beowulf is a Scandinavian warrior (Denmark and Sweden) who travels to visit the castle of Heorot in order to pay his respect for the dead king Hrotger. At the same time, the residents of the kingdom are being attacked by a terrible monster named Grendel. A brave two-meter high warrior will have to start the hunt for that creature and in addition attempt a lot of brilliant feats including a battle against a dragon. In addition to epic battles, the series Beowulf will also depict the moral and psychological aspects of Beowulf’s life who will take a long journey towards understanding human values.

Downton Abbey is a highly critically acclaimed British historical drama television series that airs on the ITV channel in the United Kingdom. The period drama series is also broadcast with a several month lag on the PBS channel in the US. In fact, the final run of the series will debut in the US only in the beginning of 2016, after the British audience would have already watched and discussed the series finale.
