Everyone who knows about this surviving ancient Anglo-Saxon epic poem and wants to see a new series based on its storyline is wondering when the new historic series produced by the ITV channel will hit the small screen.
In early April of 2015 the TV channel ITV will begin production work on their new series Beowulf Season 1. The producers are planning to film 13 one-hour episodes for season 1 of Beowulf. The script for the TV series was created by a renowned show runner James Dormer who had previously created such series as The Musketeers and Strike Back. The filming of Beowulf will take place in England in Durham County and in Northumberland.Beowulf is a Scandinavian warrior (Denmark and Sweden) who travels to visit the castle of Heorot in order to pay his respect for the dead king Hrotger. At the same time, the residents of the kingdom are being attacked by a terrible monster named Grendel. A brave two-meter high warrior will have to start the hunt for that creature and in addition attempt a lot of brilliant feats including a battle against a dragon. In addition to epic battles, the series Beowulf will also depict the moral and psychological aspects of Beowulf’s life who will take a long journey towards understanding human values.
